What we do

A certified-renewed electronics label.

Rewire Electronics launches exclusive, certified-renewed electronics through limited drops. Premium devices, obsessively restored, released in numbered editions.

We do not carry inventory in the ordinary retail sense. Each device is bought back, taken apart, measured against its original specification, and released to the person who ordered it — never resold on appearance alone.

What we sell

Four conditions, one vocabulary.

The state a device arrives in is the first thing a shopper reads, so it is defined once, on the same terms across the catalogue.

Refurbished: Professionally inspected and tested to ensure reliable performance.
Pre-Owned: Previously owned and tested for functionality.
Just Opened: Packaging has been opened, with little or no previous use depending on the product.
New: Brand-new and unused.

Quality & testing

The floor is the same for every device.

Three numbers set the standard we hold. A phone that falls short of any of them does not get released; it goes back to the bench or out of the programme.

The full inspection protocol — the checks that run on each board, the pass criteria per component family — will be published as the programme is documented. Until then, the numbers above are the promise.

Circular technology

A device we release is a device that was not built again.

The most consequential thing about a refurbished device is the one that never happens — the mining, the assembly, the shipping of a new one to take its place. Our part in that is modest but real: keeping devices in circulation for longer than the market alone would.

Impact figures — units diverted, materials recovered, cells recycled — will be published once the programme has enough cycles behind it to report honestly. We would rather stay silent for another quarter than round up.
